Like you, we were sort of put off by 2020 - so we didn’t do a lot. But as 2020 grinds to a halt we are gearing up for our busiest year ever - with two long-promised releases AND our first book project!
Here we go:
Neurotic Outsiders Expanded Edition
The long awaited Neurotic Outsiders CD (featuring members of the Sex Pistols, Guns N Roses, and Duran Duran is going in an Expanded 25th Anniversary Edition with four extra tracks, including their cover of Duran Duran’s Planet Earth, with John Taylor on vocals - and there might be a first-ever vinyl in the offing, too!
Fabulous CD
Radiohead only wishes they could get an opening slot for Fabulous these days
The Fabulous CD track list has been finalized and we are in the final phase of mastering, and it sounds great! We are toying with the idea of a special edition, stay tuned!
History of Rykodisc Book
Rykodisc was always pioneering new tech. This is the last Rykodisc print catalog (1995) - from then on we were first label with a website.
Finally, we’ll be launching the Rykobook this year - in the works for four years, this boss volume will be an in-depth history of our inspiration, Rykodisc, the world’s first CD-only label. The book is being written by Jeff Rougvie with the blessing of Ryko’s founders, all of whom are contributing interviews.
